										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thenmala ecotourism started kotavanchi savari service at thenmala dam. This is the first kotavanchi savari in kollam district. Currently, in Kerala kotavanchi savari is available only at Koni ecotourism. In the Parappar lake, a boat ride or a bamboo rack is available per person Rs 100 for 30 minutes. 4 people can go to Kattuvanni and 13 for the bamboo raft.</p>
<p>For bird watching they are providing 2.5 hours with the help of a guide, they will provide binoculars and brochures about the birds. 100 persons will allow in one group. Entry fee is R.s 200. Timing Morning 6.30 AM to 9.00 AM and evening 3:30 PM to 6 PM. Total trekking is 4km in the forest. In this forest around 267 types of birds are available. Min 15 birds you can see in this trekking.</p>

<p>It is difficult to draw a parallel between the breath-taking locales in God’s Own Country. Each one of them are unique and picturesque in their own ways. While there are plenty of stunning locales to explore in Kerala during your brief visit, choose your favourite destinations smartly. It is a great idea to select exotic destinations that are crowd-pullers in Kerala.</p>
<p>Palaruvi waterfall is an example of an exotic destination unspoilt by urbanization. Plan your visit to this cascading waterfall. Palaruvi in Malayalam literally means a stream of milk – a local name allocated to the splendid waterfall. As the name suggests, you will find the waterfall to be a cascade of milk bursting amidst the high rocks of Kollam forest. Palaruvi is among the highest waterfalls in Kerala and the 32nd highest in India. The total height of the waterfall is 91 metres or 299 feet.</p>
<p>Find Palaruvi waterfall in Kollam on the Kollam-Shenkottah Road. It is located 75 kilometres away from Kollam. The splendid waterfall is easily accessible as it is located close to railway station and international airport. It is a safe picnic spot for the entire family. There are small pools at the bottom of the waterfall for the visitors to take bath. Women and children can bathe in the separate area restricted for them. It is a famous picnic spot throughout the year. During monsoons, tourists throng the spot for enjoying swimming in the pool below the waterfall.</p>
<p>The picturesque waterfalls offer great scope for photography throughout the year. It is become a favourite tourist spot and even natives love to visit the beautiful and natural water cascade. It is one of the most visited natural endowment in God’s Own Country, Kerala. </p>
<p>During your visit to God’s own country, do not forget to visit this fall located in the Western Ghats and have a great experience. This location was chosen by the Tranvancore Kings to build new palace but they found it to be bad fortune and discarded the plan. The ruins of the palace still remain here. </p>
<p>Visiting time: 8 am to 4 pm on all the days of the week<br />
Entry fee: Adults- Rs.25 and children (below age 13) – Rs. 10<br />
Duration of visit: 1 hour<br />
Best period of visit: June to January<br />
Accessibility: Reach the waterfalls from Trivandrum International Airport and Kollam Railway station, if you are residing outside Kerala.<br />
